Earth Hour

Many people tend to ask themselves: Why should we take care of the planet if we're not going to be here once it's all gone to hell? Well, there's a whole wide plethora of reasons as to why you should. We need to preserve biodiversity, we need to make sure that the landscapes, which have been forming naturally over the course of billions of years, aren't fucked up by our simple desire to produce and consume as much as possibe in the course of a few decades.

We need to make sure these landscapes don't disappear in the course of a few years.
Just so you can get an idea of how much energy you save with the power out for an hour, tonight, from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m., in your locl time zone, turn of the lights. Just, don't do anything and leave them out. Maybe you'll get to feel remorse later on when you hear the report of how much energy was saved, but then again, it's remorse we need to remind ourselves that we're driving the Earth to hell, what with last year being the hottest year on record and all, and that our campaigns, if they only hindered global warming, need to improve. Vastly. So, try it, go dark all Earth Hour and do a favor for the planet.

You know for a fact that a world that looks only like this would suck.
